Medical guarantie
Law No. 99-223 about protection of athletes health and fight against doping, has been voted by the National Assembly on March, 23rd 1999.
This law require all French and foreign runners to provide proof of their ability to practice running in competition, ability supported by a medical certificate issued by a doctor after a medical examination.
1 / You are a licensed runner with the French Federation of Athletics
• You must inform your license number on the registration form, attach a copy of your valid license (season 2010/2011) and send it to Marathon de Provence Luberon
• If you forget you must present your license at the time of withdrawal bib.
2 / You are a FSCF, FSGT, or UFOLEP licensed runner
• You must attach a copy of your valid license (season 2010/2011).
• If you forget you must present your license at the time of withdrawal bib.
3 / You are licensed runner from Triathlon French Federation
On an agreement between the FFTRI, FFA and the Ministry of Sports (Circular No. 46 of 19 November 2008) we can now accept the FFTRI competition license.
You won’t need a medical certificate, but :
• You must attach a copy of your valid license (season 2010/2011).
• If you forget you must present your license at the time of withdrawal bib.
4 / You are any other federation licensed or unlicensed
• You MUST have in your possession a medical certificate which is a statement from your doctor indicating you do not have any conditions that would prevent you from racing
• The certificate must date from less than one year regarding the date of the event
• The medical certificate or its copy must be provided to the organizer to allow you to withdraw your bib.
CAUTION: Following the Circular No. 13 of 21 April 2008, the medical certificate must contain the words " do not show any contraindication against the practice of athletics in competition " or "not against the practice of the race walk in competition. "
Any other words will not be accepted.
If you forget it, you will not be allowed to withdraw your bib and run
The medical certificate is issued by your doctor. A copy of it is accepted.
Runners who register via Internet must submit a copy of their medical certificate on line or send it to the organization to confirm their registration.
