The 03, 04 and 05 October 2008 in Pertuis (Vaucluse)

4000 participants including 800 marathoners

The Marathon de Provence Luberon is 1 sporting event of Vaucluse, and the 3rd race of the Paca Region: more than 4,000 participants and 4,000 coaches are expected in the Luberon, during the weekend of 03, 04 and 05 October 2008.

Along with the sports event, were celebrated the 10th Festival du terroir (soil markets Pertuis and the Tour d'Aigues, on Saturday 04 and Sunday 05 October) and the 7th meeting around Wines (Côtes du Luberon, Côtes du Ventoux wines of the Rhone Valley, Coteaux d'Aix and Cotes de Provence).

The Marathon and the worlds of wine, agriculture and handicrafts collaborate annually to the territory of the Luberon a privileged place where rhyme flavors, well-being and quality of life.

The official opening of the 12th Marathon took place on Friday, October 3, at a press conference, accompanied by many politicians and sports.
